Privacy policy

Last updated · May 2026

Short version: we collect the bare minimum to send you a good travel newsletter and to know which of our partner links earned a click. We don't sell your data, we don't run ad networks, and you can ask us to delete everything we hold about you at any time.

What we collect

  • · Email address — only when you submit our signup form. Used to send the newsletter.
  • · Country (derived from IP) — captured at signup so we can tailor destinations and currency. We store the country code, not your full IP address.
  • · Referrer + UTM tags — how you found us (e.g. came in from a tweet, a Google search, a specific campaign). Editorial analytics only.
  • · Affiliate click events — when you click a partner card we log the partner, the destination, and the country, so we can see which guides perform.

What we don't collect

  • · No third-party advertising cookies.
  • · No cross-site tracking pixels.
  • · No payment information — bookings happen on the partner's site, not ours.
  • · No account passwords — we don't have user accounts.

Where it lives

Signups and click events are written to a private Google Sheet owned by the editorial team. The newsletter itself is sent from our own infrastructure — we do not share the list with third parties for marketing.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

  • · Ask for a copy of everything we hold about you.
  • · Ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
  • · Ask us to delete your record entirely.
  • · Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the footer link in any issue.

All requests: email privacy@travelinc.live. We respond within 30 days.

Children

The TravelInc is intended for readers 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

Changes

If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and note it in the next newsletter issue.
